Synspective Signs Launch Service Agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for SAR Satellite Launch on H3 Rocket
Synspective Inc., a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data and solutions provider, announced that it has signed a launch service agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. for the launch of two of its small SAR satellites, StriX. Under the agreement, the two satellites are scheduled to be placed into orbit in 2027 aboard the H3 Rocket, Japan's flagship launch vehicle developed jointly by JAXA and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
This partnership marks a key decision in establishing strategic autonomy for Synspective's access to space. By selecting Japan's domestic flagship launch vehicle, the company has secured a transportation foundation for rapidly building out its constellation.

Target Orbit: Mid-inclination orbit
The mid-inclination orbit was selected to enable high-frequency observation over major economic centers and disaster-prone regions worldwide, including the Asia-Pacific. This will significantly strengthen the company's ability to deliver timely support for infrastructure monitoring and emergency response.
■ Use of the Space Strategy Fund (SSF)
This project will be carried out as a program adopted under the "Space Strategy Fund (SSF), "Japan’s government fund for strategic space development managed by JAXA. Selection for this public program reflects the strong alignment between Synspective's technology and Japan's Basic Plan on Space Policy, serving as recognition of Synspective's role in the nation's Earth observation infrastructure.
